Tobella began with a simple belief: great pizza should be more than something you eat, it should be something you experience.
Our story starts in New York, where pizza is part of the culture. We grew up around neighborhood pizzerias, family gatherings, late-night slices and the kind of food that brings everyone to the same table.
Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to experience incredible pizza throughout New York, across the country and around the world, including Italy, where generations of tradition prove that the best food doesn't need to be complicated. It needs great ingredients, proper technique and people who care about what they're serving.
We took everything we loved about those experiences and created Tobella.
A Name That Means Everything
Tobella isn't a name created in a marketing meeting.
It's family.
The name Tobella comes from Tommy and Bella, our children, and that meaning influences everything we want this company to become.
Food has always had a way of bringing families and friends together. We wanted to build a company around that same feeling, something personal enough to carry our children's names and something we're proud to bring into other families' celebrations.
That's why Tobella isn't about simply making pizza.
It's about the table, the people around it and the memories made there.
Ingredients Without Shortcuts
Great pizza starts long before it reaches the oven.
We source ingredients carefully, working with quality producers and local farms whenever possible while also bringing in select ingredients from Italy when authenticity and tradition call for it.
From tomatoes and cheeses to flour, herbs and finishing ingredients, every component has a purpose.
We believe in keeping things simple:

Our pizza is rooted in the food culture we grew up with in New York and influenced by the traditions that made Italian pizza famous around the world.
But Tobella isn't trying to recreate someone else's pizzeria.
We're taking those influences and creating something of our own.
